One app, your words. Punchlist adapts to your trade. Where these guides say “jobs” and “bids,” photographers see “sessions” and “packages,” and landscapers see “jobs” and “quotes.” The steps are the same.

Getting started
1. Sign up. Start your 30-day free trial — no credit card. Pick your trade and Punchlist pre-loads sensible services and settings you can edit.
2. Install it on your phone. Open your Punchlist link in your phone’s browser, then Share → Add to Home Screen (on iPhone, use Safari). It opens full-screen like a native app and keeps working on a job with no signal — everything syncs when you’re back online.
3. The 5-minute setup. Brand it (logo & colors), confirm your services or packages, set your default terms, and enter how you take payment. Then share your link and you’re live.
Settings
Set up your brand & business
Everything is self-serve under Settings, and changes apply instantly everywhere — the app, your client portal, your public link, and every PDF.
- Logo & colors — upload your logo and pick your colors, with a live preview.
- Services / packages — the work you offer and your pricing.
- Estimator rates — per-square-foot, per-unit, or flat rates so quotes take seconds.
- Default terms — deposit %, tax, and the fine print that pre-fills every bid.
- Payment handles — your Venmo, Cash App, and check payable-to name.
Tip: your customers only ever see your brand on the portal and PDFs — your logo, colors and name.
Leads
Your public link
Every business gets one shareable link to a branded request (or inquiry) page — find it under Settings. Put it in your Instagram bio, on your website, or on a QR sticker on the truck.
When someone fills it out, they describe the project, pick a service and timing, and can attach photos. It lands in your pipeline as a new lead — photos already attached — and lights up your dashboard.
Day to day
Leads & the pipeline
Every job lives on one board and moves through clear stages, so you always know the single next step to take.
- Contractors / landscapers: Lead → Bid Sent → Won → In Progress → Complete (plus Lost, with a reason).
- Photographers: Inquiry → Proposal → Hold → Booked → Editing → Delivered → Complete.
Filter chips show live counts. Tap + to add a job yourself in a few steps: pick the client, choose a service or package, set the date, and where it stands.
Winning work
Bids, proposals & packages
Estimate on the spot. The estimator turns a measurement into a labor + materials number in seconds, using your own rates.
Build the bid. Add line items, markup (shown or hidden), and tax; totals compute live. One tap sends a clean, branded proposal link — no login needed for the client.
Photographers: build packages with a price, retainer, what’s included, and add-ons. Need something off-menu? Set a one-off custom price on the fly.
Nudges: a bid or proposal that sits quiet for two weeks surfaces on your dashboard so you can follow up before you lose it.
Winning work
Contracts & e-signature
Generate a service agreement straight from the bid or package (scope, price, deposit schedule, your terms), or upload an existing PDF.
Send it to the client portal, where the client signs by typing their name — legally binding under the federal ESIGN Act, time-stamped, and stored on the job. Status runs Draft → Sent → Signed.
Photographers: the retainer locks the date. Contract signed and retainer paid both check off automatically — no follow-up texts.
Getting paid
Getting paid
Create an invoice from any job in two taps — numbered automatically and tracked as Unpaid / Partial / Paid.
- Card / Cash App Pay via a Stripe “Pay Now” button on the portal.
- Fee-free options shown right beside it: Venmo, Cash App, and check.
- Collect the deposit or retainer up front, the balance on completion.
- Payments reconcile themselves — the invoice marks paid and the job updates. Unpaid balances roll up on your dashboard.
Your customer’s view
The client portal
You share one link. Your client enters their email (no password) and sees their project in your branding, with everything they can act on:
- Approve a proposal in one tap
- Sign the agreement
- Pay the deposit, retainer, or balance
- Answer your questionnaire and (for photographers) view their gallery
- Request more work — pre-filled with their details
Every signature and payment that happens here is one less trip and one less phone call.
Photography
Photo galleries
Upload your selects and deliver a private online gallery through the client’s portal — no separate Pixieset or Pic-Time subscription, and no second link to manage.
- Optional watermark on previews and a gallery expiration you control.
- Your delivery message and branding throughout — clients view and download from the same place they signed and paid.
Running the business
Calendar & calendar sync
A month view shows your scheduled work, color-coded by status. From Settings → Calendar Sync you can subscribe it into Google, Apple, or Outlook — your booked jobs land on the calendar you already live in and refresh on their own.
Running the business
Your team
Invite crew from Settings with a link, assign jobs to a person, and each teammate gets a “My Jobs” view of just their work. Adding people never raises your bill — flat price, whole crew.
Running the business
Reports
See revenue and trend, your win (or booking) rate, average bid or session value, pipeline value, your busiest services, and which referral sources actually bring work — always current, no spreadsheet needed.
Running the business
Tax center
Track expenses with categories and receipt photos, keep a mileage log with per-trip purpose, and get year-end summaries by category — built to hand straight to your accountant.
Account
Plans & billing
- Founding Member — $39/month, locked for life (limited spots).
- Pro — $50/month flat. No per-user fees, no feature tiers, no contracts.
- Optional $299 white-glove setup — we load your services, rates, terms and brand for you.
Manage your plan under Billing. If your trial ends, your data stays put — only creating new work pauses until you upgrade. Nobody’s business is ever held hostage.
